How We Handle Your Information

Effective June 24, 2026

We wrote this in plain language because we want you to actually read it. If you have a question after reading, just ask us directly — our contact is at the bottom.

What we collect

If you sign up for updates from the road, we collect:

That's it. We don't collect your last name, your address, your phone number, your birthday, or anything else through the website signup form. If you give us additional information by writing to us directly, we keep it private.

Why we collect it

We use your name and email for one thing only: to send you mission trip updates and prayer requests from the road. Roughly one dispatch per country during the trip, then occasional updates after we return. No advertising. No selling. No noise.

Who handles your information

We use Mailchimp (operated by Intuit, Inc.) to manage our email list and send dispatches. Your name and email are stored on Mailchimp's secure servers under our account. Their privacy policy is at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.

For donations, we route tax-deductible giving through Hepler's Ministry, an existing 501(c)(3) organization that serves as our fiscal sponsor. They handle donor records for tax purposes according to their own privacy practices. Other giving methods (Venmo, Zelle) are handled by those services under their respective privacy policies.

We don't share your information with anyone else. Not with churches, not with other ministries, not with the McNultys, not with Christian Adventures International. Your subscription is between you and us.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioral tracking. There are no cookie banners because there's nothing to disclose. The site is plain HTML hosted on Netlify, which may set basic technical cookies for security purposes.

How long we keep your information

We keep your subscription active as long as you want updates from us. If you unsubscribe, your email is removed from active sending lists immediately, and we retain only a minimal record (your email and unsubscribe date) so we don't accidentally re-add you in the future.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

If you're in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Norway, or another jurisdiction with comparable privacy laws, you have the same rights formally guaranteed under regulations like the GDPR. Same answer: write to us and we'll handle it.

Children

This site and our newsletter are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top and — if the change is meaningful — let our subscribers know in a dispatch.
